Victims Unit supports fish farming and panela projects in Topaipí
With the delivery of special support schemes to 70 families who are victims of displacement, the return and relocation plan in this Cundinamarca region is strengthened.
The Victims Unit, committed to accompanying and generating opportunities for the population victim of forced displacement in the department of Cundinamarca, delivered in the municipality of Topaipí Agricultural supplies to strengthen a fish farming project for 50 families and another in the sugar cane line for 20 families.
The event took place in the town of San Antonio, with the presence of the Central Territorial Director of the Unit, María José Dangond David, the municipal mayor, Camilo Cifuentes, the person, councilors, members of the participation table and the families beneficiaries.
“This is another contribution to continue with the reconstruction of the social network and community integration, taking into account the dynamics and dimension of the indicators of rural, urban and intra-urban displacement and that also allows us to contribute to the productive and economic development not only of the beneficiaries but the territory and more at this time in which we are experiencing difficult situations", said the territorial director of the Victims Unit.
The delivery corresponds to the Special Community Accompaniment Schemes (EEAC) that are implemented to materialize the return of the victims to their territories effectively and efficiently within the framework of the return and relocation plans.
For his part, the mayor of Topaipí, Camilo Cifuentes, invited the beneficiaries to commit to the Unit and the municipal administration to make good use of the inputs received: “These are public resources and we have to understand that we must take advantage of them so that the inspection of San Antonio and the municipality be a prosperous and productive territory”, said the president.
In Topaipí, located in the province of Río Negro, in the department of Cundinamarca, the Unit also works for the comprehensive reparation of 1.230 people affected by the armed conflict who are part of the Single Registry of Victims as subjects of care.
