The suspension had been caused by failures in the infrastructure and the electrical system derived from the winter season, which prevented the Unit from offering services in adequate conditions to the population victim of the armed conflict.

The director of the Unit for Victims in the Urabá-Darién sub-region, Elizabeth Granada Ríos, announced the restoration of the assistance provided by the entity in the Regional Center of the municipality of Apartadó.

The attention was restored after the start of some adjustments in the most pressing aspects by the City Hall, which will allow the continuation of the offer of services   progressively in the Regional Center.

Once the contractual procedures that the municipal administration carries out, as it has been published, the adjustments for the optimal functioning of the installations will be restored in their entirety.   

The Urabá-Darién Territorial Victims Unit expects progress in the actions taken by the territorial entity to continue guaranteeing dignified attention to the population affected by the conflict.

"We will be very attentive to these advances of the mayor of Apartadó, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Regional Center, in order to guarantee the victims the completion of procedures in decent conditions, in this space where the Unit and other entities present their offer institutional, "said Elizabeth Granada Ríos, director of the Unit in Urabá-Darién.

The Regional Center, which was inaugurated on March 19, 2015, and is located on Carrera 94 with Calle 100, in the Obrero block 2 neighborhood, will continue to provide services to the nearly 200 survivors who visit the site on a daily basis.
