Resuming face-to-face activities and guaranteeing the safety of citizens, the Victims Unit held a meeting for two days with approximately 60 victims, who attended in small groups of no more than 15 people, to propose the most important actions to take into account in updating the Return and Relocation Plan of the municipality of Villavicencio.

The victim representatives of Community Action Boards and associations that reside in communes 4, 5 and 8 of the capital of the city, will identify which are the community actions to present them to the offer of Special Accompaniment Schemes of the Victims Unit, which It must be updated within the framework of the Transitional Justice Committees and its execution would take place in 2021.

In addition, during the meeting the individual route of the Return and Relocation Plan is socialized, so that the leaders know it and it can be replicated in the community they represent.

The director of Meta and Llanos Orientales Unit, Carlos Pardo Alezones, stated that “with these consultation meetings there was permanent and fluid communication, where the intentions, the profile and the guidelines that need to be adjusted were made clear to them, in order to generate for next year a Return and Relocation Plan with productive projects that are arranged and designed by the victims themselves”.

The support provided to the victims in these plans has to do with the actions carried out by the entities of the National System of Attention and Comprehensive Reparation for Victims, to guarantee relocation or local integration, under the principles of security, dignity and willfulness.
