Municipalities of Eje Cafetero presented letters of intent to be supported with projects
After the socialization of the projects for special community support schemes, 12 mayors expressed their willingness to start the process to materialize the actions framed in the return and relocation plans.
The Victims Unit, through its territorial director in Eje Cafetero Laura Moreno and its professionals of returns and relocations, socialized in previous days actions that are framed in the plans of returns and relocations, and that cross with investment lines of the entity, in order for the territorial entities to present projects to the Unit.
As a result of this exercise, 12 municipal administrations of the departments of Quindío, Caldas and Risaralda sent the Unit a letter of intention signed by the burgomasters in which they express their interest in presenting projects in the different lines so that they can be co-financed by the entity and in this way benefit the victim population returned to the territories.
"I think it has been a good exercise, since the vast majority of municipalities with which we discussed this issue sent their respective letter of intent; We hope to be able to carry out a good process with these local administrations and, of course, to make a reality of those projects that are finally aimed at improving the well-being of the victims who live in these municipalities”, said Laura Moreno.
In Eje Cafetero they presented their letter of intent from Quindío: Buenavista, Génova, Calarcá; In Caldas: La Dorada, Marquetalia, Norcasia, Pennsylvania, Samaná and Manizales, and in Risaralda: Apía, Pereira and Dosquebradas.
In this regard, Yolman Osorio, coordinator of the Unit's Returns and Relocations group, assured that "after the territorial entities presented the formal letter of initiatives, what comes next is a process of technical assistance by the Unit so that they can present these projects formally with the fulfillment of all the requirements; We have until July 15 for the formal presentation with their respective documents and the Unit will begin to give the answers for the viability of these supports”.
The construction projects are aimed at the following actions, in the educational field: classrooms, restaurants, canteens, computer rooms, sanitary batteries, enclosures; in the community aspect: communal halls, communal dining rooms, cultural halls, sports plaques and in the health area: low complexity posts and health centers for priority basic care.
