Displaced and relocated families receive an endowment of furniture, in Santander de Quilichao
This investment of close to 15 million pesos is part of the special accompaniment scheme that the entity provides to displaced families who are relocated in the context of conflict.
The Victims Unit in Cauca, in the municipality of Santander de Quilichao, delivered furniture for the communal hall of Prados de la Samaria community, where the population displaced by the armed conflict resides.
With this project carried out under the Special Accompaniment Schemes (EEA) for returns and relocations of the entity, it contributes to the well-being of 147 families who are victims of violence, contributing to the reconstruction of the social network and generating optimal spaces for their claim with a dignified life, through the rights granted by Law 1448 of 2011 (Victims Law). For Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, territorial director of the Unit in Cauca, “this provision of filing cabinets, concrete benches, library, desks, four dining rooms, chairs, acrylic boards, children's tables, among others, we are dignifying those families who, under absurd situations of violence have had to abandon their territories to save their lives and that of their families"." It is our duty from the national government, to advance these processes that contribute to the comprehensive reparation of the victims", he said.
In this way, the community of Prados de la Samaria in Santander de Quilichao will have a suitable place to carry out its meetings and different activities for all the inhabitants.
