Construction of footprint plate began in rural area of Landázuri, Santander

The Unit's contribution, through the Returns and Relocations group, consisted of the delivery of social and community infrastructure materials for a value close to $ 304 million.

As part of the 2019 Special Community Support Schemes that the Victims Unit is carrying out, the construction of the footprint plaque that will unite the townships of Rioblanco and Plan de Armas, located in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Landázuri (Santander).

According to Amparo Chicué Cristancho, Magdalena Medio territorial director of the Victims Unit, “we delivered these materials, for a value close to $ 304 million, since the end of last year, however for reasons of change in municipal administration and due to the health emergency, the works had not been able to start”.

Similarly, the official added that "the work connects the township of Miralindo with the townships of Plan de Armas and San Ignacio, which are communities that have a return and relocation plan and are mostly victims of forced displacement".

Likewise, Amparo Chicué assured that the work will not only improve the connection between those townships but will also make it easier for said communities to market their products.

With the construction of the footprint plate, which will last approximately a month, around 600 victims of armed conflict who reside in the aforementioned townships will benefit.
