Amid the health emergency, the provision of biomedical equipment arrives in Tierralta
The Plan of returns and relocations of the community of the urbanization "Lo Nuestro" in Tierralta, Córdoba, was approved in November 2014.
This Friday, July 10, the general director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, together with the Presidential counselor for Stabilization and Consolidation, Emilio Archila, will make an official delivery, virtually, of the provision of basic biomedical equipment to the health center of the urbanization "Lo Nuestro", of the municipality of Tierralta (Córdoba), within the framework of the "Peace with Legality" policy of the national Government.
The event will also be accompanied by the coordinator of the IOM Regional Office in Córdoba, Mirtha Machado, the leaders of municipality victims and the mayor of Tierralta, Daniel Enrique Montero.
The delivery to the community is the result of the work articulated between the initiatives of the Development Programs with a Territorial Focus (PDET) and the special schemes of community accompaniment for the returned population of the municipality of Tierralta, in which 125 million pesos were invested for “Nuevo Oriente” health center.
The equipment includes elements such as: vital signs monitor, stopping cart, delivery and minor surgery kit, a defibrillator, stretchers, oxygen concentrator, vital signs monitor, manual and digital sphygmomanometers, scales, among others.
The implementation of this initiative occurs in compliance with the plans for returns and relocations that contribute to the sustainability of the communities returned to the territory, and also promote the development of the sub regions most affected by violence and poverty, and that have total or partial coincidence with the initiatives defined in the PDET Action Plans for Territorial Transformation (PATR).
The International Organization for Migration was added to this task, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development.
