Virtual care for adolescent victims in the Coffee Region continues
A total of 150 adolescent victims of armed conflict who live in the departments of Quindío, Caldas and Risaralda, participated for four days in the fifth session of virtual psychosocial strategy "Proyectandonos".
The professionals of the psychosocial area of the Unit in the Coffee Region continue to develop virtual psychosocial strategies to serve the adolescent victim population between 13 and 17 years of age.
During this week the fifth version of the meetings is held, "Strengthening capacities from a rights perspective - Proyectandonos".
The initiative in which young people from Manizales, La Dorada, Armenia and Pereira have gathered, contributes to the construction of a repairing and transforming sense of the compensation resources they have destined, contributing to the strengthening of their life projects, through of this measure of satisfaction.
The meetings are held after four work days, strengthening empowerment through the recognition of their human rights as subjects of special protection and providing tools that contribute to the development of dignifying life projects.
“Despite the pandemic in the Unit, work does not stop, we have been implementing this strategy with a number of beneficiaries that reaches 150, with good acceptance by those directly involved and their families, participation has been very active and adolescents have been receptive to the topics discussed. In the same way, starting next week we will start CRE-SER, which is aimed at younger children between 10 and 12 years old” said Laura Moreno, territorial director of the entity in this area of the country.
Proyectandonos program is carried out in four moments: the first one called Roots of our past, the second the present that sustains us, the third and fourth based on the future that I can Build. During the development of the strategy, the participants managed to bring out their fears about what they had to live with their families because of the conflict, and visualize their life projects.
