Victims Unit strengthens care plans at the border
Guidance was provided on international bridges.
Given the political situation in Venezuela, the Unit is attentive and maintains the points of assistance for Colombians returning from Venezuela who enter the country as victims.
In the border area, the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander maintains a system of attention in the Simón Bolívar international bridges, in Villa del Rosario, and La Union, in Puerto Santander, to guide compatriots in the integral process for repair.
"The compatriots who left the country years ago for victimizing acts and that today because of the conditions that we all already know are being registered in Venezuela, and decide to return, we want to tell you that we are paying attention to the road map with humanitarian assistance for guarantee their living conditions in accordance with the stipulations of Law 1448 of 2011", said the territorial director of Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia Rojas, at the conclusion of a meeting convened by the Unified Command Post.
Since the closure of the border in August 2015, the Unit maintains its presence with action plans for citizens who require a response and who are in the Victims' Registry. Colombians who mostly enter the country through the city of Cúcuta receive humanitarian aid and a temporary relocation plan that allows them to dignify their living conditions.
The Territorial Directorate of Unit maintains its participation in the meetings held by the Unified Command Post in the border area to monitor and follow the situation closely.
