Victims Unit delivered economic reparations to 315 survivors of conflict in Huila and Caquetá

The Caquetá-Huila Territorial Directorate handed over more than $ 2,809 million pesos in compensation to victims of armed conflict of the priority attention route.

The repair team of the Victims Unit in Huila and Caquetá, carried out the protocol act of delivering administrative compensation to survivors of armed conflict in Neiva, Pitalito and Florence for more than $ 2,809 million.

The indemnified persons correspond to the priority compensation route, consisting of anticipating the payment of this resource to victims of conflict over 74 years of age, persons with disabilities, and / or patients with ruinous or catastrophic diseases, according to Resolution 1049 of 2019.

For Leticia Delgado Valenzuela, one of the beneficiaries, “it is very good because at the moment I have received help that I did not expect from the State, I thank all the people who did this beautiful work. I am sure that if I manage that money well, it will reach me for a long time”.

Sandra Jhovana Bello, director in charge of the Unit in Huila-Caquetá said that “we continue to compensate on the priority and general route, benefiting the elderly and young people in both departments. The law is in the process of extension, President Iván Duque appeared to urgently request the presentation of the project before the Congress of the Republic and be able to extend the term for another ten years”.

During the activity, the talk on adequate investment of the resource was held to raise awareness of the need to use aid delivered on projects that will last over time and improve the quality of life of survivors of armed conflict in the south of the country.
