Victims received $ 2,199 million in compensation, in Buenaventura and Palmira
With special workshops, complying with biosecurity measures, Valle del Cauca advances in the delivery of check letters, as part of comprehensive reparation to victims.
In Valle del Cauca, the Victims Unit delivered compensation letters this Monday in the municipalities of Palmira and Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, for resources totaling $ 2.199 million.
In the case of the port on the Pacific Valle del Cauca, with this delivery, a four-day program was closed in which 203 victims of conflict were summoned to receive the letter, with which they can claim the monies of their administrative compensation from Banco Agrario.
“Applying all the biosafety protocols and with the support of the District Mayor's Office, we delivered the letters at Buenaventura Regional Center, with adults over 74 years of age benefiting a large part of the beneficiaries. The sum amounted to $ 1.644 million”, said Luz Adriana Toro Vélez, territorial director of the entity in Valle del Cauca. In Buenaventura, historically, compensation of $ 69.203 million has been delivered, through 10.641 money orders.
In the same way, compensation letters were delivered this Monday in Palmira to 52 victims for $555 million. In this city, where 4.5% of the population is a victim of armed conflict, $ 12.041 million in compensation has been delivered, through 15.901 money orders.
The days for the check letters to reach their beneficiaries will be extended to more municipalities in Valle del Cauca this month.
