Victims of Ipiales (Nariño) received administrative compensation
With an investment of $ 166 million, the beneficiaries of the south of the department received their compensation and guidance for the adequate investment of resources.
The Victims Unit delivered 26 letters of compensation, in the municipality of Ipiales, to prioritized victims according to resolution 1049 of 2019, with an investment of $ 166 million, in a process coordinated with the municipal administration and with the accompaniment of the Municipal ombudsman Office.
Zoila Cruz Cabrera, beneficiary of this delivery, declared herself pleased with the benefit received. “I thank God, the mayor, the president and all those who have had to do with repairing victims, even though it does not compensate for what has been lost, today we can say thank God that we can receive this compensation, God bless to each person who works for the victims”, he pointed out.
Likewise, Sandro Eduardo Mora assured that the money received for the compensation improves the quality of life of victims and that he will invest it in housing for his family.
According to William Pinzón Fernández, territorial director of the Unit, “we are here to work for the reason of being of our entity, the victims of conflict, this time we arrived in the territory and we hope that with the resources that we deliver today in the old province of Obando to the population, they will serve to continue with the improvement of their projects and their quality of life”.
On the part of the municipal administration of Ipiales, Adriana Chamorro Ruano, deputy director of Victims of the Mayor's Office, added that “it is very pleasant to be part of the delivery of letters for the population victim of armed conflict”. “We are very pleased to have the director territorial unit of the Unit, its work team, are complying and reaching the municipalities despite the circumstances, and thank you very much for advancing in the repair process", he stressed.
Similarly, José Manuel Revelo Gómez, municipal representative, added: "This process seeks to guarantee the victim population the reparation it requires, it is very pleasant to accompany these spaces where the victims feel happy to receive this money".
The people who benefited from this conference also received guidance on the appropriate investment of resources with the aim that the money is used properly, improving their quality of life and promoting their personal projects.
