
The skeletal remains of eight victims of forced disappearance in Nariño were handed over to their families
The Victims Unit accompanied and provided psychosocial advice, during the judicial procedure coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office, to the families of eight victims of forced disappearance.

In coordination with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, the Victims Unit accompanied in Pasto (Nariño), the judicial process of delivering bone remains to the relatives of eight people who were considered missing under circumstances of armed conflict.
In a solemn ceremony, the families of the victims received the remains of their loved ones and with tears, prayers and the best memories declared to be ready to close this cycle of pain in their lives.
Ana Maria Arteaga struggled to find her husband for 13 years and makes a call to forgive: “We are very grateful as relatives for the actions carried out by the entities in search of our loved ones, they were many years but we were persevering and today we can close this chapter and give these bodies a Christian burial, which means for us the peace in our hearts, the rest of a struggle that has results and the invitation and the opportunity to forgive”.
The territorial director of the Victims Unit in Nariño, William Pinzón Fernández, expressed solidarity to the relatives on behalf of the entity and reiterated their commitment to continue working to repair the damage caused by one of the most painful victimizing events in the armed conflict.
