A road map for psychosocial care for victims of Justice and Peace postulate is drawn up in Norte de Santander
A ruling by the Constitutional Court prioritized the assistance system for the victims of several former paramilitaries who offended in Norte de Santander.
In a work led by the Victims Unit, national institutions and territorial entities work to guarantee the accompaniment and psychosocial assistance to the victims of violence perpetrated by paramilitary groups in Norte de Santander.
In compliance with the agreement of ruling N. PSAA15 -10402 of October 29, 2015, the State began the implementation of a joint strategy that allows a prioritized, professional and high human component attention to the survivors of armed conflict in Otare rural district municipality of Ocaña.
The director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez, said that the entity will permanently monitor the assistance system from the psychosocial approach to victims: “We have a highly qualified staff to attend our victims amid the pain caused, a task that we recognize takes time but that we will achieve through our strategies to overcome the consequences of violence and achieve in these survivors of armed conflict an emotional change to strengthen the construction of peace from our territories” .
The official recalled that the entity has been advancing the relevant actions regarding compliance with the sentence related to the Justice and Peace postulate, Salvatore Mancuso, to comply with the process of comprehensive reparation for the victims.
The Ministry of Health and territorial entities are linked to generate the mechanisms and tools necessary for the attention of this sector of the population in psychosocial matters.
