A total of 136 victim families from the municipalities of Apía, Santuario, Dosquebradas and Pereira, gathered in Pereira to participate in the delivery of the same number of fiduciary orders by the Victims Unit in the Territorial Coffee Region.

The investment of Unit in this process amounts to $ 550 million, which ensures the resources for these surviving children, who upon reaching the age of majority will be able to claim the resources and thus pay for a university career or, why not, invest in their own productive project.

"We are very happy to be able to participate in this type of event that has to do directly with the future of country through our children and adolescents; We especially thank the Unit and its team for the effort and as Victims Table we believe that this is the result of being able to work together with the State, "said Johan García, coordinator of Municipal Victims Participation Board.

The fiduciary order is a mechanism through which the Victims Unit entrusts the money of the administrative compensation of minors to a fiduciary entity, in this case BANCOLOMBIA. The recognized value is according to the victimizing event suffered and it is a money that receives additional financial returns, until the survivors reach the age of 18 and can dispose of the resources.

"This is one of events that gives me the most satisfaction when participating, without a doubt our children are the bet that we have to change the country and this shows that they can count on a State that fulfills them and to which they can serve once they become professionals or from their own ventures; parents will be vital in this process and that is why I invite you to instill in your children values that will help them to form as people but above all as good citizens ", concluded Freddy López, territorial director of Unit in this area of the country.
