Community in Garzón (Huila) received educational furniture
The Victims Unit strengthens comprehensive reparation to those affected by the armed conflict who decided to return or relocate in this area of the south of the country.
The Victims Unit, Caquetá-Huila territory, improves the social infrastructure of Garzón municipality, benefiting 150 families in the municipality, with the delivery of furniture valued at $46.074.057 to the Educational Institution Barrios Unidos del Sur.
As explained by the director of Caquetá-Huila territorial, Yhina Paola Lombana, this delivery is made in the special accompaniment scheme within the framework of the Return and Relocation Plan, seeking to benefit the community and contributing to its stabilization process.
“409 items were delivered, including 239 school desks, 20 Office desks and 150 chairs, items that many children will benefit from. We continue to reach the most vulnerable areas of the department to improve the academic conditions of the children who are victims of armed conflict; the State is present throughout the territory, to dignify these communities in the midst of the consequences left by the violence”, he said.
The territorial director also said that “in 2021, the children and adolescents of this community will begin an academic year with more school guarantees that will allow them to expand their living conditions and access to quality education in this area of the department”.
The event was attended by various authorities from Huila, who thanked the Victims Unit for its support in rebuilding the social network.
