Afrodes Reparation Plan recognizes rights and ethnic approach
This organization has presence in Magdalena, Chocó, Valle, Guajira, Nariño, Bolívar, Norte de Santander, Cundinamarca, among others.
The Collective Integral Reparation Plan (PIRC) of La Comadre-Afrodes recognizes their rights and their ethnic approach, confirmed Ramón Rodríguez, director of Victims Unit, after a meeting with delegates of that organization held in Bogotá.
"Their right to reparation is guaranteed and we have explained to them that they have all the rights as a subject of collective reparation, bearing in mind that they are an organization of women with an ethnic focus," Rodríguez explained.
In his opinion, "this association has members who are in Cartagena, in Bogotá, in Medellín and as an organization it has all the guarantees to be taken care of in the matter of reparation".
In addition, he maintained that what is wanted "is to advance in its process of collective reparation as an organization, we have done it in other cases and have been successful experiences, for which, we want to guarantee La Comadre-Afrodes its collective reparation process through of the route of organizations or groups ".
The director of Victims Unit said that the most important thing is to take care of victims of this organization. "There are many situations that can be presented but what we are looking for is a solution and we are not ignoring their rights or their ethnic approach, so that they are addressed as soon as possible and can move forward in the process. That a year does not pass without progress in the repair, especially of that organization ", he emphasized.
