Advance delivery of compensation letters in Nariño

With the call to the beneficiaries to have criteria in the investment of the resources, more than $ 1,400 million are delivered in the present execution of the south of the country.

The Unit for Victims in Nariño delivers 210 letters of compensation to survivors of the armed conflict in the municipalities of Remolino, Pasto and Tumaco this week, giving priority to older people.

In the days of delivery of compensation that are met until Friday, March 22, victims highlight the accompaniment and advice from the Victims Unit on comprehensive issues, such as access to education, training for work, access to programs of housing, health, productive projects and psychosocial accompaniment.

The territorial director in Nariño, William Ospina Fernández, made an emotional invitation to invest with criterion the obtained resources: "As an entity we seek that you, as victims, take advantage of these resources to improve their quality of life, either in acquisition or improvement of their housing, productive projects, education, among others, but that you can be sure that all this difficult process that has happened, can reach a happy term. Our Unit will always have the doors open for you, and count all the support they require, "he said.

On the other hand, Lorena Guerrero, beneficiary victim, assures that "the support we have received during all these years has been very good, the pain will never happen, my children will not forget, but if we have the opportunity to start over taking advantage of this compensation to create a family micro-enterprise ".

This benefit contemplated in Law 1448 or Law of Victims, is delivered according to the schedule drawn up by the Unit:

On March 19 in El Remolino, 23 compensations were given to victims of the municipalities of Policarpa, San Lorenzo, Taminago and el Rosario, with an investment of $ 275 million.

On March 20 in Pasto, $ 698 million were delivered to 101 victims living in the municipalities of Buesaco, San Pablo, Los Andes, Funes, Gómez, Ancuya, Sandoná, Guaitarilla, La Unión, Albán, Consacá, Arboleda, Linares, San Lorenzo, El Tambo, La Cruz and Samaniego.

And for March 21 and 22 in Tumaco, $ 525 million will be distributed to 86 victims of Pacific Coast, survivors of El Charco, Santa Bárbara and Olaya Herrera conflicts.

In the first week of March, the Victims Unit in Nariño, delivered 279 letters of compensation with an investment of more than 2,000 million pesos and will continue these processes thus advancing in the construction of a future for all.
