91 victims of armed conflict were compensated in Magdalena
In this department, 516 million pesos were given to 91 victims of armed conflict in Magdalena.
The Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation for Victims, through the Magdalena territorial administration, delivered 91 letters of compensation to the survivors of armed conflict in this department, with an investment amounting to 516 million pesos.
This process benefited 91 victims of violence, with the main objective of strengthening the economic dynamics of their families, the opportunity for them to carry out productive projects, business ideas or the purchase of their homes.
The event began with a few words from the territorial director of Unit in Magdalena, Carlos Ortiz Ruiz, who said that "in the exercise of reparation we deliver this resource. For us it is very important that they make good management of this, and also report and denounce if in the process of claiming the money they meet people who want to charge them a percentage, because the resource is yours and no one else's ".
Subsequently, the delivery of letters where the victims were served by five officers of the Unit, who gave him their respective reparation at the same time they solved the doubts and concerns they presented.
During the process, Edilma Caicedo, from Remolino expressed as a survivor of the conflict: "we did not expect this; I am happy because with this money we will be able to buy a piece of land and finally we will have a house of our own ".
Finally, the director, Carlos Ortiz, announced that they are looking for an alliance with entities such as Banco Agrario, Banca Mía, Banco de la Mujer, the National Savings Fund to show the survivors a wide range of possibilities where the victims can make their investments correctly.
The activity was carried out in the facilities of the Regional Center of Attention to the Victims (CRAV), located in the sector of María Eugenia, in Santa Marta.
