63 victims were compensated in Córdoba
The survivors of conflict who benefited from the compensation amounting to $ 626 million are from the municipalities of Valencia, Tierralta and Montelíbano.
The Victims Unit delivered administrative compensation to 63 victims of armed conflict, whose value is estimated at $ 626 million.
The citizens who received their financial compensation as a result of the damage suffered by the violence and as part of their reparation and the restoration of the effective enjoyment of their rights, are from the municipalities of Montelíbano, Tierralta and Valencia, in the region of San Jorge, in Córdoba.
The victims to whom the compensation letters were delivered are people prioritized for being over 74 years old, with a certified disability and with orphan, ruinous, catastrophic or high-cost diseases.
During the day of care, the victims received training and guidance in adequate investment of the resources of the compensation, with the objective that their money support projects or activities that improve their quality of life.
Mareila Burgos, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Córdoba, said: "We are still advanced in repairing the victims of conflict, we are pleased to deliver these compensation to this population, with which we hope they can improve their quality of life and that is why it is very important that they receive the guidance on adequate investment of resources”.
In the delivery of the compensation letters, delegates of Banco Agrario announced various alternatives, with which, the victim population will be able to manage their money in a safe and responsible way.
