The Huila-Caquetá Territorial Directorate of Victims Unit carried out the act of delivering 16 letters of compensation to victims of armed conflict, in a ceremony that was held at the headquarters of the entity in Neiva.
These administrative compensations amount to a little more than $ 78 million and represent a measure of the Colombian State that is delivered as financial compensation, in this case, for the victimizing acts of forced displacement and homicide occurred within the framework of the Colombian armed conflict.
The beneficiaries are victims from the municipalities of Pitalito, Neiva (Huila) and Puerto Caicedo (Putumayo).
At the beginning of event, the Unit presented a message of dignity in which exalted the victims for their courage and desire to overcome. In the same way, they were informed about the procedure for the collection of the resource and the importance of saving and the adequate use of the compensation as a contribution to the improvement of these families life quality.
During the event, the territorial director of the Unit in Huila and Caquetá (e), Sandra Jhovana Bello Gutiérrez, extended a greeting of solidarity to the victims from the National Government and the Unit's director, Ramón Alberto Rodríguez, at the same time that he exhorted them to fulfill the mission that every Colombian has in the construction of peace, from their own homes, from teaching values through the practice of love and family unity.
Subsequently, the “OJO CON EL FRAUDE” (eye to fraud) strategy was socialized with which it is sought to prevent victims from being deceived by unscrupulous persons who offer to accompany them to the bank to steal their compensation, or by processors who are awarded the management of the money order only to request a percentage, without that being true.
