The inhabitants of this Norte de Santander township ask that the presence of the public force be included in the Collective Reparation Plan as a measure of non-repetition of the violence experienced in the past.

La Pedregosa is a town 3 minutes from San Alberto, César, and 20 minutes from La Esperanza, Norte de Santander. In both municipal helmets there are Police posts that deal with the township criminal acts, but not with the urgency demanded by the residents, for this reason the inhabitants of La Pedregosa request the inclusion of police units within their Comprehensive Collective Reparation Plan.

 "We need a post or police station to stop the crime wave that has increased in La Pedregosa. The criminals come from other towns, steal and do what they want because we do not have security in the territory, "said Claudia *, inhabitant of this village.

To advance this preparatory measure, the Territorial Director of Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Álvaro Vargas Sanabria, met with officials of the National Police and with representatives of the impulse committee and residents of the township to visit some locations that would serve to adapt the police checkpoint.

"There is the peasant house, the communal room and some premises that belong to the mayor's office of La Esperanza, which can be adapted for this purpose. The mayor already said that he would cede them, now we are in the adjustments of the needs of spaces that require the units that are assigned to offer the security to the population ", explained Vargas, Territorial Director.

The locative arrangements of the three spaces and the furnishing of furniture are part of the measure of reparation framed in the guarantees of non-repetition in La Esperanza, recognized as subject of collective reparation in 2013.

Some measures such as a first level hospital have been approved for the urban area and others, such as playgrounds, for some townships, among which are: La Pedregosa and Pueblo Nuevo, all affected by the armed conflict.

This action was presented and approved in the Third Transitional Justice Committee of La Esperanza held last weekend, to be implemented is expected response from the General Directorate of Police.
