Victims Unit, Governance and mayors of Boyacá showed their commitment to those affected by the conflict

National and regional authorities discussed the public policy aimed at victims of the conflict, during the first expanded in the territorial department of transitional justice committee.

With the presence of the mayors of the region, this Thursday, August 24, it was held in Boyacá the first transitional justice committee (extended), about the department, public policy on victims. 'We believe in reparation to the victims of armed conflict in a scenario of peace and reconciliation' was the program presented in order to identify the needs and opportunities of the victims. The act was coordinated by the Unit for the Victims and the local authorities.

Local leaders made proposals for the implementation of the policy. "These committees are vital to define the lines of work between the national government and the regional authorities in favor of the victims of the conflict, especially at this historic moment in the country," said about the meeting Jorge Orlando Sánchez, director of the Unit for the Victims in the departments of Boyacá, Tolima, Cundinamarca and Bogota.
