The general director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, participated in the plenary sessions of the tables of effective participation of victims of Valle del Cauca and the city of Cali, where they resolved the questions raised from each of these groups, and that took place in the capital of Valle del Cauca.

With the departmental table, topics such as: where the victims' law goes and the offer of higher education for the victim population were addressed.

"We are here to fulfill some commitments, to listen to their concerns and speak to them with the truth, of what we have advanced in these eight years of Law 1448 of 2001 and in the same way, to assume commitments with a lot of responsibility", said the director.

On the concern related to the subject of higher education, the director noted that "in addition to the offer that is available through the Icetex and SENA, from the national level and from the territorial we are doing an exercise of rapprochement with educational institutions superior to achieve greater discounts or facilities for the victims".

Jesus Mario Corrales, coordinator of the table of Víctims del Valle, made a call to "unify the model of psychosocial care for victims that is being worked on by different entities, so that resources are not wasted and efforts are better utilized".

In turn, Adiela Aguilar, delegate of the table, requested that more days of declaration and documentation be carried out in areas far from the urban centers, especially in the regions furthest away from the centers and points of attention to victims.

In the meeting with the Table of Cali, its coordinator, Norma García, raised the need to ensure a dignified and adequate attention for those attending the regional centers, "in such a way that they are offered complete and timely information, which avoids unnecessary procedures and displacements".

The territorial director of the Victims Unit in the Valley, Luz Adriana Toro, also pointed out that work is being done to improve the digital and telephone service channels more and more, in order to contribute to the decongestion of the regional centers and points of service.
