Guática already has an approved PAT for victims

The local Administration of this Risaralda municipality developed the second Transitional Justice Committee of the current term, in which it approved the Territorial Action Plan (PAT).

The Victims Unit accompanied the second Transitional Justice Committee of Guática, in the department of Risaralda, in order to monitor the implementation of the public policy of victims in the territory and verify the approval of the PAT.

“I want to reiterate my commitment as mayor and the municipal administration, in sparing no effort that is in our hands to improve the quality of life of victims of violence that live in our town; it is our commitment to stoke every process that can be developed in their favor and guarantee their rights, we also hope that this PAT will help us in that objective”, assured the local president William David Soto Ramírez.

In addition to the Unit and municipal administration officials, the crucial meeting was also attended by the ICBF, the representatives of victims before the committee Olga Guerrero and María Alcira Guapacha, the municipal staff Lina Marcela Vinasco, the local directorate of health and the forces armed.

By unanimous approval of this plan, the aim is to work on the prevention and protection aspects, overcoming the situation of vulnerability of the victim families living in the municipality and promoting the integral reparation of people based on the formulation and development of agricultural programs, plans and projects.

The actions also include advances in health, education, food, home improvement, income generation, participation guarantees, among others. With Guática there are already five municipalities that have an approved PAT in the department of Risaralda, a fundamental procedure to be able to work in a clear and orderly manner in favor of the victim population that lives in this area of ​​the country.

As representatives of victims, María Alcira Guapacha and Olga Guerrero, requested better guarantees of participation for victims and showed themselves to the expectation of the start of all the activities that are included in the PAT and which, added to the programs and projects, translate into an investment of the municipal Administration close to $ 450 million, focused on victims.
