
Service fair for victims of the conflict now living in Miami
The Victims Unit will participate on September 26 and 27 in the Service Fair of the program ‘Colombia Nos Une’, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is aimed to the Colombian population living in Miami (USA). This is the fourth of the type that takes place in Florida.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Victims Unit will provide information and guidance for those Colombian victims of the internal armed conflict who are in the North-American city, and go to the entity’s stand in The Fair Expo Center (Fuchs Pavillion), 10901 Coral Way Miami, Florida 33165.
‘By the 31st of August, we had 5,868 registered victims of the internal armed conflict living abroad. The country where we have received more applications to be included in the Sole Registry of Victims is Canada, with 604 applications; followed by the United Stated, with 602,’ explained Paula Gaviria Betancur, Victims Unit’s head director. ‘In the case of Miami, we have received 257 applications, which meant the acknowledgement of 510 victims. Applications for the inclusion in the register have arrived from around 40 countries,’ she concluded.
