Unit led virtual meeting of the National System of Attention and Comprehensive Reparation to Victims
The director of the entity assured that this type of meeting helps to strengthen the work as a Government and society for the benefit of the victims.
This Friday, virtually, the different entities that make up the National System of Attention and Comprehensive Reparation for Victims met in order to strengthen everything related to assistance, care and comprehensive reparation to victims.
The objective of the meeting was to provide strategic guidelines to the entities that are part of the National System of Attention and Comprehensive Reparation to Victims (SNARIV), in order to articulate actions to consolidate the public policy of victims in the action plans and institutional strengthening of the 2021 validity.
The director of the Unit, Ramón Rodríguez Andrade, assured that “the commitment of the national government is to promote concrete actions in favor of the victim population every day that allow us to overcome the discourse and concentrate on all public policy measures, seeking generate actions that transform the living conditions of the victims that contribute to the reconstruction of the social network in the different areas of the country.
Ramón Rodríguez said that the Victims Unit, as the entity that coordinates the System, has generated the appropriate instruments to strengthen inter-institutional coordination “and enhance the efforts of national entities to advance in socio-economic stabilization, overcoming situation of vulnerability and comprehensive reparation to victims; this undoubtedly contributes to the construction of peace with legality and the transformation of the lives of many victims”.
For the director of the entity, the formulation and implementation of the action plans of each of the institutions, the indicative regionalization and of course, "the certification against the contribution in the effective enjoyment of rights of the victim population, they are the result of a judicious analysis of the institutions 'competencies, as well as the identification of the victims' needs in terms of supply”.
“For the current term, there are 39 action plans formulated and with their respective monitoring of the actions implemented during the first semester. In addition, 37 sessions of the technical subcommittees of the national order and one session of the Executive Committee for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation to Victims have been held”, added the official.
Rodríguez indicated that “there is a lot of work to be done, which is why our interest is to improve in those aspects where we have difficulties and to consolidate good practices for policy management, in conjunction with the entities of the National Government, Mayors, Governments and Participation Tables”.
Finally, the manager affirmed that with the approval of the extension of Law 1448 of 2011 and the ethnic decrees, "these nine million victims of conflict are given peace of mind". "The idea is to strengthen, not be regressive in rights acquired by the victims, and as the president has also requested, advance in the comprehensive reparation of these Colombians. This brings with it important challenges, to which I am sure we will be able to respond in an articulated way and aware of the responsibility that we have”, he concluded.
