The Victims Unit carried out from June 20 to 21 a process of mainstreaming with members of the National Police of Guaviare to incorporate the guidelines of the psychosocial approach and action without harm.
Carlos Pardo Alezones, territorial director for Meta and Plains of the Unit, said that "we guide these officials to understand the different damages suffered by individuals, families, groups and communities as a result of a context in which rights are violated, human rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) are infringed, facts that affect all the dimensions of the person and deny their dignity".
In this procedure the differential and gender approaches are taken into account in the plans, programs and projects of care, assistance and integral reparation developed by the SNARIV institutions, being a psychosocial professional of the Unit in the territory who performs exchange spaces in the field of mainstreaming in order to identify needs, expectations and availability, also addressing the particularities and requirements from different approaches.
"On this occasion two exchange meetings were held, in accordance with the institutional work of the National Police, with whom later on a follow-up will be carried out between both parties to analyze the learning and challenges of incorporating these approaches into the mission of the institution", concluded Pardo.
