Young victims strengthen their capacities through the "Projecting us" strategy, in Barrancabermeja
With psychosocial support and collective and individual work of a recreational nature, adolescent victims residing in the Oil Port advanced in dynamics to strengthen their life projects.
During four days, the implementation of "Projecting us" strategy developed by the Victims Unit with adolescent victims of armed conflict residing in that city was carried out in Barrancabermeja, Santander.
"Projecting us" is part of the set of methodologies designed by the psychosocial group of the Unit for Victims, to develop the strengthening of capacities of adolescents victims of armed conflict who are about to receive their fiduciary commission and is carried out within the framework of a comprehensive repair strategy.
According to Amparo Chicué Cristancho, territorial director of the Unit in Magdalena Medio, with this strategy "from the Psychosocial Group of the entity what we do is contribute to the fulfillment of two comprehensive reparation measures that are satisfaction and guarantees of non-repetition".
In the same way, the official assured that last month she did the pilot and this week the two psychosocial professionals of this territorial direction (Iliana Ruiz and Álix Aguilar), worked virtually, for four days, with two groups, each of 10 young people for a total of 40 teenagers.
Likewise, Amparo Chicué indicated that before the conference, “all prior work is carried out that includes calls to young people, explaining how the virtual work tool works, and a kit of materials and snacks is delivered house to house for the four days of work".
For the 11th and 14th of August, and the 18th and 21st of the same month, new “Projecting us” days are planned with other young victims who live in Barrancabermeja.
