Start tomorrow with a varied agenda, organized by expressions of victims, entities of the National System of Attention and Integral Reparation to Victims, and civil society, who will pay tributes in memory to their loved ones.

The Victims Unit will accompany the agenda of activities that will be carried out within the framework of the Week of the Detained Disappeared, in Villavicencio.

The event organized by the Table of effective participation of victims of Villavicencio has the support of municipal mayor's office, Meta Governor´s office, and the Victims Unit, as well as of expressions of survivors of armed conflict that will have symbolic and theatrical events by the group "Las Corocoras del Llano", and the National Movement of State Crimes Victims (Movice) Meta chapter.

Amparo Buzato, member of the municipal victims' committee, stated that "it is an established date to commemorate the absences. We seek to influence civil society so that they do not forget those who, like me, continue to claim for the truth about the whereabouts of our children, brothers, parents and other loved ones who left one day leaving a great void in us, we are waiting for them every day".

"On Tuesday, May 28, a tree of life will be held in the Regional Center for Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims. On Wednesday, the 29th there will be a symbolic act about the memories of the relatives of this event. On Thursday, May 30 will be presented a gallery and cinema forum of the senses of the absences and, to finalize the weekly agenda will be held on Friday, May 31, an event in the Park of Historical Memory of the department", said the territorial director for Goal and Plains of Unit, Carlos Pardo Alezones.

In Villavicencio, according to the Unified Registry of Victims, 2,278 people declared themselves victims of this act in the context of armed conflict in the country.
