So far in September, 250 people affected by different events have been financially repaired.

Attending the individual reparation route, the Victims Unit carried out a new delivery day of the administrative compensation measure, in which it paid 792 million pesos to 133 people affected by the armed conflict, who are part of the Single Registry of Victims in the department of Tolima.

“This is the second day of financial compensation payments that we made during the week in this department and in which we have repaired nearly 250 victims for a value that exceeds $1.400 million. The commitment is to continue serving the victim population of this region not only with money transfers for compensation, but also for humanitarian aid, psychosocial support and everything related to the comprehensive reparation route at the individual or collective level. However, we ask the victims who are waiting for payment to understand the difficulties that this pandemic has caused us to carry out mass deliveries of letters” said the Central Territorial Director, María José Dangond David.

Victims from municipalities such as Prado, Fresno, Natagaima, Venadillo, among others, were cited to the activity carried out in the administrative headquarters of the territorial direction in Ibagué. Omar Arciniegas Toro, from Yacó Molona indigenous reservation in southern Tolima, assured that in his territory he is advancing with productive agricultural projects and that now with this resource of compensation he will make an investment in cattle: “I am going to buy about four or five dairy heifers and I'm really very happy because I feel supported by the Government”.

For her part, Claudia Patricia Paz Molina, resident of Fresno, victim of the murder of her husband in 2011, highlighted that in addition to the compensation received on this day, the Unit has been supporting her with humanitarian aid and a productive project. "I received a kit of washing machines in 2018, and with them I work to support my house and that of my daughter, who is also helping with therapies since she suffers from a disability" he said.

It is pertinent to clarify that the amounts and the turn granted to the victim for the delivery of the administrative compensation measure depends on the particular conditions of each victim, the analysis of the specific case and the annual budget availability that the Unit; in accordance with the principles of gradualness, progressivity and fiscal sustainability established in Law 1448 of 2011.
