Victims Unit delivered compensation for more than $3.000 million in Caquetá and Huila

During the most recent session, the entity invited the victims of conflict to make an adequate investment of resources so that they improve their standard of living in areas such as housing and productive projects.

A total of 502 compensations totaling more than 3.300 million pesos delivered by the Victims Unit to people affected by the conflict in various municipalities corresponding to the Caquetá-Huila Territorial Directorate, in several scheduled days.

In the department of Huila in recent days, the delivery of 224 letters of compensation was completed with an investment of $1.654 million.

For its part, in the department of Caquetá, 164 letters worth $1.213.246.300 were delivered in September and in October 114 letters, worth $ 436.859.366.

Yhina Paola Lombana López, territorial director of the Victims Unit in the departments of Caquetá and Huila, announced that the compensated people correspond to people over 74 years of age, with disabilities or catastrophic diseases, belonging to the priority care route that stipulates Resolution 1049 of 2019.

The official pointed out that "the entity provides support and advice for the adequate investment of resources". "In the conferences we invite people so that the resources they received can be used for their productive projects, the acquisition or improvement of housing, or in education”, she explained.

These deliveries were carried out in person, however, the Victims Unit works in the process of banking the victims of conflict, through agreements with banking entities, so that those affected by the conflict receive payment of the compensation in a safe way, facilitating the allocation of resources.
