Survivors of armed conflict, residents of 22 of the 37 municipalities of the department of Huila, benefited from the administrative compensation measure of Law 1448.

The Victims Unit, Caquetá-Huila Territorial Directorate, held this Wednesday in Neiva, the compensation day for people over 74 years of age and / or disabled, in accordance with Resolution 1049 of 2019, which adopts the procedure to recognize and grant this priority measure.

The Unit team guided the participants on the importance of adequate investment of this resource and trained in the strategy "eye with fraud", which exposes the risks and precautions that those who are part of the repair process must take. Entities such as the National Savings Fund, the Secretary of Equity, the Secretary of Education and the Health Secretariat of Neiva, joined the activity to publicize the offer of services to those present.

Miriam Guevara, mother of one of the beneficiaries in disability condition said: "I am the mother of Erika, very grateful to God and the Victims Unit for having fulfilled this desire for my daughter who was waiting long ago. That money is for medicines, I have to travel to Bogotá to have the valve checked for hydrocephalus, and the surplus is for a business. "

For his part, Mr. Parmenio Baquero Narváez said: "I am going to receive my compensation to put a deal to live the last days".

The Victims Unit will deliver a total of $ 1,278 million in repairs prioritized to survivors of armed conflict this week in Huila, resources that are expected, improve the quality of life and restore hope to victims in special conditions, the elderly and their families.
