Victims of Sucre department, receive more reparative compensation

With the call to the beneficiaries to have criteria in the adequate investment of resources and not to use intermediaries, 405 victims were favored by the priority route.

In compliance with the biosecurity requirements, and in coordination with the municipal mayors, the Victims Unit delivered 405 letters of compensation, with an investment of more than $ 1.724 million, to victims of armed conflict benefited thanks to the route established by Resolution 1049 of 2019, which prioritizes payments to people over 74 years of age, with disabilities or with some catastrophic illness.

The delivery of these administrative compensation was carried out in four days, distributed in the municipalities of San Onofre, Toluviejo, Corozal, Sampost, Sincelejo, Galeras, Palmitos, Tolú and Los Palmitos.

For the territorial director of the Unit in Sucre, Isaac Hernández, "the entity is committed to repairing the victims of the department, for that reason and through coordination with the municipalities and complying with biosafety protocols, we have managed to deliver compensation".

For her part, Ana Elvira Ricardo, a victim of Colosó armed conflict, expressed her gratitude to the Unit and stressed that this resource will be used for "the benefits and well-being of her family".
