The victims of Putumayo will invest their compensation, in entrepreneurship and education
During this week in this department, resources exceeding 890 million pesos were disbursed for administrative compensation.
The Victims Unit carried out the sixth day of delivery of compensation letters in the department of Putumayo, during the last week of October.
So far this 2020, 2.382 people have been benefited with their individual repair, with an investment of close to 15.600 million pesos.
On this occasion the deliveries were made in the municipalities of Mocoa, Puerto Asís, Orito and Valle del Guamuez, the conference was accompanied by a talk on the importance of making an adequate investment of resources, during which the attendees were asked what they were thinking of investing in. Several agreed that they wanted to start a business or strengthen the one they already have, and others said they wanted to invest in their children's education.
"We want to invest in the study of my daughter Ana Milena", said Martha Cecilia Muñoz, a resident of Mocoa.
On her side, Fabiola Díaz, a victim who lives in Orito, affirmed that she wants to strengthen her productive project: "I want to invest in tamales and cassava wrap business."
On the other hand, the delivery days were also accompanied by an emotional talk of dignity where, through a symbolic act with lit candles, the closing of a painful cycle that caused so many injuries to the victim population is invited.
Likewise, there were artistic presentations by the natural fertile land theater group from the village of El Tigre, to whom the Unit is supporting their initiatives thanks to the strategy of psychosocial accompaniment to project initiatives.
