Victims of Pasto receive administrative compensation
With an orientation on the adequate investment of resources, 222 people were benefited in a day that complied with the biosafety protocols.
In the framework of the Week of Inclusion for Equity, organized by Prosperidad Social, the Victims Unit carried out a new process of delivering compensation letters in the city of Pasto in which 222 people received reparative compensation, for resources over $ 1.7 billion.
Daisy Viviana Gelpud Noguera, beneficiary of this conference, indicated that “we are very grateful to the national government, also to the Victims Unit, because this is a great support for us, in my family my father, my brother and I receive compensation, and this will be very productive and we will know how to take advantage of it”.
Similarly, Leonila Salcedo, 91, said that with the money received she will invest in her home: “I live with a son and I want to fix a nice little room to spend my last years, thank you very much, God bless all who have made this project”.
For William Pinzón Fernández, territorial director of the Unit in Nariño, “we have come to you who are the reason for our entity's existence. Today we are pleased to arrive with this money with which we hope you can improve your quality of life; We are here to work United with Social Prosperity in favor of the vulnerable population of our department, and we will remain committed to comprehensive reparation”.
For his part, José Jaime Rosales, regional director of Social Prosperity, explained that “this is a fact in which the entities of inclusion and reconciliation sector work hand in hand and we directly reach this population victim of conflict, delivering resources that will serve their purposes, even more so in this time of a pandemic to mitigate the effects of situations that may arise”.
The benefited victim population received an orientation on the adequate investment of resources so that they can improve their quality of life.
