In this region of Bolivar department, the Victims Unit will review the threat issue and the collective reparation plan.

The compensation by judicial sentence for El Salado massacre, jurisdiction of municipality of Carmen de Bolívar, will be paid before the end of March of this year, for a total amount of $ 6,600 million, according to Ramón Rodríguez, director of  Victims' Unit. The massacre was committed by paramilitary groups in 2000.

"The commitment is that in this first quarter we will pay $ 6.6 billion pesos to the victims of El Salado and we hope that by the end of March we will have all the resources already paid," the official explained.

Ramón Rodríguez reiterated that the money for these obligations "is already in the bank and we are waiting for the authorization so that they can be disbursed, because the Unit already has this budget and what we want is to be able to fulfill this commitment before the end of this March 31 "

Rodriguez said that victims in El Salado, in addition to requesting the advance of collective reparations, warned about threats received. On that subject the director of the entity noted: "The Public Force and the Minister of Interior were very clear about all the things they have done to verify the threats that have appeared on the cell phones of each of victims in that territory".

The survivors of armed conflict also asked the Victims Unit to review each of measures contemplated in the Collective Reparation Plan (Pirc). In this regard, the official said: "This is a plan that was made in 2012 and they say there are measures that have to be adjusted".

According to Rodríguez, the Territorial Directorate of Unit in Bolívar will meet with the community of El Salado in the second week of March "to review the Plan and see what measures can be adjusted, because the Plan repairs the victims and different communities; What we want is for the victims to have the best Plan that corresponds to their needs, "he said.
