The Córdoba territorial director of the Victims Unit, Mareila Burgos, and her professional individual reparation team, carried out a day of delivery of letters of administrative compensation in recognition of the events experienced by the victims of conflict, for a value close to the $181 million.

The compensation day was given for people over 74 years of age and people with disabilities or with catastrophic illness, in accordance with Resolution 1049 of 2019, which adopts the procedure to identify and grant this priority measure for the victim population.

In the framework of the day, the beneficiaries received guidance and advice on the appropriate investment of resources and the anti-fraud campaign "Don't believe everything you hear" was socialized with them.

"I receive this compensation with great happiness, I thank God and the Victims Unit because with this help I am going to finish my house and be able to give my family a decent home", said María Pérez, beneficiary victim.

For her part, the territorial director of the Unit indicated that “it is important to highlight that we not only deliver priority routes, we have already begun to mobilize payments by general route since August, in such a way that we continue to make progress in the entire implementation of the public policy in the department”.

In the month of September 2020, 14 notification days and administrative compensation letters were delivered to 180 victims of armed conflict in Cordoba municipalities such as Valencia, Puerto Libertador, Montelíbano, Cereté, San Carlos, Ciénaga de Oro, Lorica, San Andrés de Sotavento, Planeta Rica, Canalete, Los Córdobas and Montería.
