Victims from Chibolo and ten other municipalities were compensated in Magdalena

The compensation measure was carried out for about 1,600 million, to 211 victims of armed conflict in this department of the Caribbean Region.

The Territorial Magdalena Victims Unit notified 211 transfers that are part of the compensation measure to the victims of armed conflict residing in the municipalities of Aracataca, Ariguaní, Cerro San Antonio, Chibolo, Ciénaga, El Banco, Pivijay, Plato, Sabana , Santana and Santa Marta. The investment was 1,574 million pesos.

The day was held at the Regional Victim Assistance Center (CRAV) in Santa Marta. The victims received guidance on the care they should have with the resources they received, giving them a talk about fraud and safety advice.

Additionally, they had the opportunity to obtain information about adequate investment of  resources, according to the investment line of their preference as new housing, used, improvement, creation or strengthening of productive projects, acquisition of rural properties and higher education; in order that the monies received as indemnity are voluntarily invested and according to their need or particularity of environment, in order to improve living conditions by providing a space of institutional supply.

The day was attended by the National FNA Savings Fund and the National University Open and Distance UNAD, which made their offers, promotions and special advice for victims.
