Victims of Central Cauca were compensated

In the course of the week, more than $ 1,110 million will be delivered to the southern, northern and Pacific coast of Costa Rica, seeking to repair more than 100 survivors of armed conflict in the department.

For a value of 1,089 million pesos, the Victims Unit in Cauca delivered 109 people over 74, victims with disabilities or catastrophic illness, letters of administrative compensation, from municipalities in the center of Cauca.

On this occasion, adequate resources investment advice was given to survivors of  armed conflict belonging to the municipalities of Cajibío, Sotará, Morales, Piendamó, Timbío and Popayán.

Lorena Mesa, deputy director of the Victims Unit, accompanied this day where she stated that “this new delivery of compensation letters is part of many of the remedial measures for which the Victims Unit works daily, seeking to cover the part Economic, emotional and psychosocial survivors of armed conflict. In addition, an advisory in adequate investment of the resources that allows this population to project themselves in their personal and productive development”.

Meanwhile, Aníbal de la Cruz Toro, a victim of displacement and who also received his compensation, indicated that "I am very grateful to the national Government, since with this economic recognition that makes me I will be able to have my house, since at the moment I do not have a place to live."
