Unity for Victims reaffirms its commitment to the Pacific coast of Cauca
During a meeting, the entity socialized productive projects worth 300 million pesos, which will benefit more than 2,500 people and two shelter kits were delivered, covering 250 people, for an eventual humanitarian emergency.
Through a Transitional Justice Committee carried out in the municipality of Guapi, the Pacific coast of Cauca, the Victims Unit reaffirmed its commitment to this territory and its population affected by the armed conflict.
In the first instance, the contingency plan that allows this region to have immediate response to any type of humanitarian emergency was strengthened.
Similarly, the delivery of two shelter kits was formalized, covering 250 people, which will allow the population to be prepared for any humanitarian emergency.
To strengthen the cultural identity and the agricultural and fresh water fishing development, productive projects worth 300 million pesos were socialized, which will benefit more than 2,500 people from community councils in this area of the department.
Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, territorial director of the Victims Unit in Cauca, said that “all this type of help provided by the National Government, reaffirms the commitment to comply with the law of victims in the department, proposing and attending fully to people who have been affected by the armed conflict”.
