Two regional centers for victim assistance will be opened in Bolivar

It is estimated that in these two new spaces about 15,000 people will be able to attend monthly.

With an investment of 6,000 million pesos, the Victims Unit and the Government of Bolívar will build two regional centers for the care of armed conflict survivors in Cartagena and in El Carmen de Bolívar.

This was reported Ramón Rodríguez Andrade, director of Victims Unit, after meeting in the city of Cartagena with Dumek Turbay, governor of the department of Bolívar.

According to the director of the Unit, for the construction of the two regional centers will be used the modality of co-financing between the entity and the Government of Bolivar.

"We aim to serve about 300 people daily in each of these regional centers for a monthly service of close to 15,000 people," said Ramón Rodríguez.

In Bolívar department and with a court on November 30, 2018, a total of 395,911 victims are subject to attention and / or reparation; in Cartagena 99.909, and in Carmen de Bolívar 51,747.
