The director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, recalled that more than $ 302 billion have already been invested in that department, and other disbursements for administrative compensation of $ 1,638 million and humanitarian assistance of $ 863 million will be added.

"In May we will make 1,594 bank transfers amounting to $ 863 million Colombian pesos for Humanitarian Attention in the Department of Caquetá, of which, 472 bank transfers $ 261 million will be made in Florencia", said Ramón Rodríguez, director of the entity, during Building a Country Workshop, held in that capital.

Rodriguez also said that during the month "255 administrative indemnities worth $ 1,638 million will be delivered in the department of Caquetá, of which 203, worth $ 1,225 million, will be delivered in Florencia".

According to official figures of the Unit, in Florencia there are 71,599 victims and 68,669 of them are victims subject of attention, while in the department of Caquetá there are 170,753 victims and 163,079 are being treated.

To assist the victim population in the department, there are three Service Points (Cartagena del Chairá, La Montañita and San Vicente del Caguán), and a Regional Center (Florencia). In February 2018 the Regional Center of Florencia was put into operation, which was built and equipped under the Agreement No. 1408 of 2016, with an investment close to $ 2,786 million (Unit $ 2,152 million, Municipality $ 634 million).

In Caquetá there are 26 Collective Reparation Subjects -SRC-, of which five are ethnic, 18 are in the identification phase, two in the enlistment phase, four in the damage diagnosis phase and two subjects in the implementation phase.

According to the director of the Unit, during 2019 there have been 11 events, of which five are homicides, three armed actions and three cases of threats in five municipalities: Puerto Rico, San Vicente del Caguan, Curillo, Cartagena del Chaira, Florencia. These events include homicides and threats to leaders in the region.

He added that for 2019, Caquetá has certified 39 investment projects formulated by 18 national entities for the department of Caquetá.

Rodriguez said that in the current year, 57 technical assistance has also been advanced to 16 municipalities (Albania, Belén de los Andaquíes, Cartagena del Chairá, Curillo, El Doncello, El Paujil, Florence, La Montañita, Milan, Morelia, Puerto Rico, San Jose de Fragua, San Vicente del Caguan, Solano, Solita and Valparaiso).

In terms of returns and relocations, he said that returned households with institutional support amount to 504, specifically in Florencia and the municipalities of Belén de los Andaquíes, Morelia and La Montañita.
