The Victims Unit is delivering this week in Cali letters of compensation for $ 637 million to 80 elderly victims of the internal armed conflict who suffered forced displacement. With this document, these people can claim the Agrarian Bank for the money that corresponds to their administrative compensation.

Luz Adriana Toro Vélez, territorial director of Unit in Valle del Cauca, explained that the delivery is being made in three groups, convened for Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

People like Carlota Lilia Castaño, 75, displaced from Granada, Antioquia, were part of the group today. She recalled that 22 years ago she had to leave her town with her children, "only with what she was wearing", fleeing violence.

"Rebuilding my life in the Valley was very hard, but my God did not forsake us. I worked fixing clothes, selling lunches, ironing. Receive this compensation today is a blessing from God, my dream is to fix my house and suddenly I can take a walk, "she said.

The territorial director of Victims Unit  in Valle del Cauca said that "we are in this way fulfilling the priority of victims over 74 years of age, which is one of the conditions stipulated by our technical targeting method. We sincerely hope that these resources, which reach these people as part of their integral reparation process, positively impact their lives at this time. "

Mrs. Toro Vélez indicated that for the coming week the delivery of new groups of letters to seniors is scheduled in the cities of Palmira, Tuluá and Buga.
