Senior citizens receive administrative compensation, in Bolívar

More than 2,600 million pesos were given to victims of armed conflict as a measure of integral reparation. The sessions were held in the municipalities of El Carmen de Bolívar, Magangué and the city of Cartagena.

In the Peace Hall of the Government of Bolívar, the meeting was attended by 134 elderly adults who were victims of armed conflict, to receive resources as a measure of compensation.

The deliveries, made by the Victims Unit, are part of the reparation process for people affected by the war.

"We are fulfilling the victims, the resources delivered both in Cartagena and in the municipalities, are part of the deliveries that will be made this year in the department," said Miledy Galeano Paz, territorial director of Victims Unit in Bolívar and San Andres.

For the survivors, the recognition that the State makes is significant, although it does not repair the damage caused, if it helps to improve the economic situation of many families that lived through the conflict. As stated * Santos Martínez, a peasant displaced by the violence who received his compensation. "I would like to go back to work in the field, but I do not get my condition. That money is for my children."

The workshops were also held in the municipalities of El Carmen de Bolívar and Magangué, for a total of 290 letters of administrative compensation delivered, worth more than 2,600 million pesos. "This is to fix the house and help my children and grandchildren," said * Josefina Orozco, survivor of El Carmen de Bolívar.

In deliveries, we have the support of Banco Agrario, the only authorized entity for the collection of resources.

"The beneficiaries are presented with their ID and the letter delivered by the Unit and they are immediately given the cash. Now we are available from Monday to Friday, at the times established by the entity, "said Yanina Medina, commercial adviser of Banco Agrario.
