About $ 43 million pesos in compensation delivered by the Victims Unit last October to people affected by the armed conflict in the department of Vichada

The beneficiaries of the compensation measure are victims of the crimes of forced displacement and homicide.

The records also indicate that the recipients of these resources were prioritized by age, that is, for being older than 74 years, and for suffering from serious, ruinous or high-cost diseases.

The director of the Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, highlighted that the victims have received advice on the appropriate investment of resources, in order to use the compensation money in aspects that contribute to improving their quality of life.

Pardo also recalled that all the procedures of the Unit are free and that, to access them, the victims do not need intermediaries.

Between January and October 2020, the Unit delivered $ 626 million to the Vichada victims in compensation.
