The Public Force is trained on the Victims Law, In Cauca
The day was attended by members of National Police of the municipalities of Popayán, Buenos Aires, Patía, Piendamó and Miranda.
The Victims Unit advanced a training day to members of UNIDEP (Police Unit for the Building of Peace), Department of Human Rights of Metropolitan Police and personnel of National Model of Community Surveillance by quadrants, both of the municipality of Popayán as from the department of Cauca.
The main theme of event was the orientation on the processes of reparation to the personnel of institution, after the ravages and affectations of armed conflict. Likewise, the aspects of the norm referring to the Victims Law and the psychosocial orientation processes that aim to mitigate the impacts of violence, as a right to repair and overcome from the institution.
In the same way, it was achieved that through the knowledge of this public policy, the National Police can be a replicator of the same, thus allowing the Caucasian population to be guided by any victimizing event that may occur.
Dan Harry Sánchez Cobo, Cauca territorial director of Unit, said that “these training processes on the public policy of victims allow us to move forward in a positive way, since not only is the Public Force informed about their rights, but also to close to their duties for the benefit of victims of department".
