The Victims Unit continues to develop days of delivery of letters of compensation to victims prioritized in the new integral route of reparation, represented in older adults. 27 people were compensated in Armenia.

A total of $ 270 million was delivered today by the Victims' Unit that developed in the city of Armenia a new day of letters of compensation, this time for victims prioritized by their age and who agreed to administrative reparation, activity that has been fulfilling the entity in all corners of national territory.

From municipalities such as: Armenia, Buenavista, Calarcá, Circasia, Filandia, La Tebaida, Pijao and Quimbaya, in the department of Quindío, one by one received the check letter from Laura Moreno, territorial director of Unit in the Coffee Region.

"This is a very meaningful day for all present, as territorial director of Victims Unit is a day of joy because this is not a meeting any, it is a journey that we all have been waiting to receive the desired economic reparation, this form the government that presides over Ivan Duque Márquez meets the victims, we hope they make a good investment of money that is given to them today, "said Laura Moreno, during the activity.

This process of delivering letters to the elderly will continue throughout the week in the cities of Pereira and Manizales, with victims who also live in the towns of: Pennsylvania, Riosucio, Apía, Dosquebradas, Guática and Santa Rosa de Cabal

Rosalba Mosquera, daughter of one of the beneficiaries of the day, said: "We thank God for allowing us to receive this money today, and the President because he fulfilled the work he promised for the victims, what came it belongs to my father, we hope that the president continues doing things as he has done so far, and that we can finally live in a country in peace; sure that what we lost, we will not recover anything, but without a doubt this money will be very useful for the family ".

In the department of Quindío, 54 thousand people are subject of attention by the Unit, of which 4,745 have already received their compensation, the total investment by the Unit in this territory has been $ 65,345 million since the beginning of the Law 1448 in the year 2011.

"With that money we receive today I want to do many things, but what I would most like is to be able to help to my  grandchild that I raised since he was born and has not been able to enter the university due to lack of economic resources, so many thanks to the National Government because it materialized something that we have been waiting for so long ", concluded on the day Sofía Castaño.
