For three days, in the auditorium of the Municipal Administrative Center (CAM) in the Mayor's Office of Popayán, the people affected by the conflict in the municipalities from the center of Cauca received the administrative letter of compensation in recognition of the events that occurred in the context of conflict.

A total of 203 indemnities, worth 1,570 million pesos, were delivered to families in the municipalities of Popayán, Piendamó, Morales, Cajibío, El Tambo, Timbío, Rosas, La Sierra, Puracé, Inzá and Páez.

Under biosecurity protocols, in groups that did not exceed 20 people, the delivery and notification of administrative acts was carried out, reminding the victims of the conflict of the free services provided by the entity and that they do not require processors or intermediaries, thus avoiding fraud or taking advantage of unscrupulous people.

In this space, the director in charge of the Victims Unit in Cauca, Mauricio Pérez Meneses, stressed to the attendees the importance of the appropriate investment of resources: “For us it is very gratifying to be able to continue with the compensation to so many people affected by the conflict, they will receive adequate investment advice for resources, which will allow them to assertively direct these monetary awards received from the national government”.

For their part, victims such as John Alexander Vázquez Tapia, stressed the importance of receiving this compensation and turning it into productive projects to get ahead. "I thank the national government for this administrative recognition, with which I will work in the field to be able to have my own resources”, he said.

At the end of the year, the entity will continue with more days of administrative compensation to victims of conflict in other municipalities of Cauca.
