With an investment of more than $ 3,000 million, the Victims Unit continues to strengthen the process of integral reparation for the survivors of the armed conflict in Cúcuta.

In the first six months of the year, the territorial office of the entity in Norte de Santander and Arauca has developed several days of delivery of compensation that have benefited 480 people, with 513 turns.

"I am happy after so much sadness, tears, and shed blood; this becomes a hope to consolidate my project in a neighborhood here in Cúcuta: a small store that keeps me and my family, "said a victim of violence who asked to reserve his identity.

The territorial director for the Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez, said that the delivery days held during the first half of the year have been successful, fulfilling the institutional mission in one of the departments most affected by the violence in the country.

"Since the implementation of Law 1448 of 2011, the Unit has repaired more than 22,460 victims in this region of the country; there are many more for which we are working to initially obtain their attention and subsequently their integral repair; we have invested more than $ 162,000 million; for the second half of the year, we expect to continue increasing in numbers of beneficiaries and investment ", explained Alicia María Rojas.

Older people, with disabilities or catastrophic illnesses, which are prioritized for the delivery of compensation in Resolution 1049 of 2019, have become the main beneficiaries of the conferences that have taken place in municipalities such as Ocaña, Ábrego, Teorama , San Calixto and Convention.
